As the sun had set at the end of the day, we asked the bride if she wanted to step outside to capture a unique image with the elegant columns of the State Capitol. Utilizing the best angles, focal lengths, and creative lighting we were able to create an impactful scene that made sense. Behind the bride we added a light in order to mimic the end of day sun, and in post-production we swapped out the plain, cloudless sky with a sunset sky that I captured while photographing a destination wedding in Cancun. Being a creative wedding photographer in Utah means that you always have to push yourself to the limits. Utilizing techniques such as lens focal lengths and camera angles, combined with beautiful light can change ordinary scenes into extraordinary. Storytelling is such a big part of what we do. It’s the part of the creative process that allows an artist to capture unique imagery from start to finish. We photographed this wedding just outside of Moab at Dead Horse Point. However, the techniques we employ can be applied at many Utah wedding locations.

Utah photography is best known for it's Mighty Five National Parks: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zions. Each of these parks offer unique views of the geological gorgeousness that attract millions of visitors each year. Few states offer the sheer diversity of landscapes that Utah does. In Northern Utah, near Salt Lake City, we have the amazing Uinta and Wasatch mountains as well as the Great Salt Lake and Bonneville Salt Flats. Southern Utah offers the red sand stone and high deserts you've seen in all those westerns.
